Choice of trailer

We have decided to a highlights trailer to incorporate all of the action, gore and psychological horror aspects. Our trailer contains all three as each member of our group has a different preference. Doing a highlights trailer will allow us to build up the action and suspense, include jumps to draw the audience in and to include body horror effects which would be seen throughout the movie.
We have also decided to make our trailer a ‘red band’ trailer as all the members of our group are females so we can show violence towards them. We can also use powerful effects to really shock the audience and make their toes curl. The video above is from the Evil Dead (2013) trailer. This trailer is a highlights trailer and shows the layout we want to do. It starts off slow and builds p to a fast montage of action shots. Within these shots we see the narrative of the film and we see various different body horror effects which really draws us in. The trailer ends slow with a shocking gore effect, which features a woman slicing her tongue.
